Below is a description of the game’s objective, as well as instructions to play.
(Some aspects of the game are still in development and may not be implemented until future updates)
BASIC OVERVIEW
The objective of Full Hive is to go through a series of levels and defeat your opponents by playing cards. The cards you can play will contain one or more of the following properties:
- Attack: deal damage to your opponent’s hitpoints, or shield if they have any.
- Heal: heals your hit points that you’ve lost.
- Shield: shields your hit points from taking damage when the opponent plays an attack card.
- Energy: charges up the meter to play an extra card in your current turn.
- Take: allows you to take an extra card out of your deck.
- Charge: charges up the meter to play your power card.
Use these cards strategically to defeat your opponent, which will gain you experience and honey (currency) by the end of the match. Use honey to buy packs and unlock new cards, perks, and power cards to defeat higher level opponents.
CARDS
BASIC CARDS There are a total of 28 different cards you can acquire and play. Cards will vary in rarity with the lowest being common, only having 1 feature, all the way up to royal which will have 6 features! All cards will have at least one feature from the list below:
- Attack: deal damage to your opponent’s hitpoints, or shield if they have any.
- Heal: heals your hit points that you’ve lost.
- Shield: shields your hit points from taking damage when the opponent plays an attack card.
- Energy: charges up the meter to play an extra card in your current turn.
- Take: allows you to take an extra card out of your deck.
- Charge: charges up the meter to play your power card.
DRAWING DECK
Your drawing deck will have a maximum of 12 unique cards, which you can customize once you’ve acquired more cards. If you do not have 12 unique cards to start off, you may begin a game anyway. At the end of each turn, you can draw a card which will be randomly selected from your customized drawing deck.
HAND
Your hand of cards is the cards you have drawn, and are now able to play. You can have a maximum of 5 cards in your hand at one time by default. This limit may be overridden by some perks, or by the “take card” feature on some cards. If you have more than the default limit of 5 cards at the end of your turn, you can not draw a card unless you play a card with the “take card” feature.
POWER CARD
If you have received one, you may equip 1 power card which will always be available during play. Instead of needing to take it from your drawing deck, it will have its own designated button. In order to play it, you must play a card with the “charge” feature and fill the meter up to 10. Once it is full you can activate your power card, which will take into effect during that same turn. You can also customize your power card once you have more.
PERKS
There are a total of 15 perks that you can acquire, all of which vary in rarity from common to royal. You can equip up to 3 unique perks that will take into effect throughout your next battle. If you have less than 3 perks, you may still begin a battle.
STORE
The store is used to purchase packs, which will allow you to potentially unlock new cards and perks. You can use honey as the currency to purchase any of the packs below:
- Card Packs: you will be rewarded 3 random cards
- Perk Packs: you will be rewarded 2 random perks
- Combined Packs: you will be rewarded 2 random cards and 1 random perk
For each of these packs, they will vary from common to royal. The higher the rarity of the pack you purchase, the better your odds are to get a higher rarity reward.
CUSTOMIZE
You can go to the customize screen to change your basic cards, power card, and perks. From this menu, you can select cards and perks you have acquired from your inventory. Your basic cards and power card can not be removed once added. They can only be substituted with another card. Perks however can be removed, or you may also substitute them with a different perk.
